Our office is conveniently located on the south-west corner of the intersection of 336th Street and 9th Avenue in Federal Way, just a few blocks west of Highway 99.

We also offer the convenience of automatic payments from your checking, savings or money market account, which may be posted on the 1st, 5th, 10th or 12th business day of each month - you chose the day. Should that date fall on a weekend or holiday, we will process your payment on the next business day. Forms to set up an automatic payment will be provided with your first payment letter or can be requested by clicking here:  Contact Us

What information will I receive about my payment?

Approximately 10 days prior to your first mortgage payment, you will receive a welcome letter from Sound Mortgage, noting your first payment due date, a packet of coupons and mailing envelopes, set up forms for an automatic payment and an amortization schedule.

When is my payment due?

Mortgage loan payments are due on the first day of each month, with a 15 day grace period. Your payment is considered late if it is received after the 16th of the month and a late charge will be assessed. If you are mailing your payment, please be sure to allow sufficient time for it to reach us by the 16th.

What if I send more than my regular mortgage payment?

Any amount above your normal payment is applied to your principal balance, unless you give other instructions.

But I received a letter telling me that you sold my loan to another lender.  I haven't received a coupon book or statement and my payment is due. What should I do?

The 'good-bye' letter we sent to you included information about your new lender; who they are, where to send your first payment, the amount due, the date due, your new loan number and a toll-free phone number to contact your new lender. If you have not received any information from your new lender, go ahead and send your payment using this information. In most cases, the posting of your first payment will cause a monthly statement to be sent to you, along with information concerning their website and automatic payments. During a transfer between lenders, you cannot be reported as late or assessed a late charge for your first payment to your new lender.

I thought that Sound mortgage was paying my property taxes and homeowners insurance but I received a statement.  What should I do with it?

In most cases, the statement received by you is for your information only but sometimes you might receive an original billing statement. Please send these to us with your next payment or mail to:
